Credit where credit is due ...

This site is was designed to be served by Apache 1.3.14 webserver running on a Linux box (SuSE 6.3). The dynamic content is created using PHP 4.0.3 and mySQL 3.22.32.

Our specific needs required a powerful and flexible search engine, which would allow us to search for unvocalised Hebrew and Greek without diacritcs in documents that use both Hebrew pointing and Greek diacritics. We found such an engine in the ht://Dig system in combination with the power of Apache webserver, and would like to express our gratitude to Gilles Detillieux for his help in sorting out some of the teething problems with our peculiar ht://Dig configuration.

(The setup for the Hebrew and Greek searches is not entirely straight forward, and having worked through it, we would be happy to share the knowhow as well as some of the custom tools we developed to this end.
